Late Thursday (April 30, 2020) afternoon, our Property Manager received an email from the Baldwin County Public Health Department (see blow). Based upon this email, we are rescinding our previously published pool rules in favor of the following:

REVISED POOL OPENING INFO

Per the Baldwin County Health Department’s Amended Order, our pool will be reopened May 1 at 8 a.m. on a limited basis.  We will have some temporary rules in place so we can accommodate all residents.

The Clubhouse will remain closed at this time, with the exception of the use of restrooms.

    • The pool area will be limited to 25 people with a limit of 4 people total per condo (which would include possible guests) at any one time.  At least one owner or renter from condo must be with any attending guest.
    • As required by the State of AL Public Health Department, all non-work related gatherings of ten people or more or any size that cannot maintain a SIX-FOOT distance between persons (unless you live in the same household) is prohibited.
  • It is imperative  that the SIX-FOOT social distancing is followed, including when in the pool.
  • No more than three people in the hot tub at any one time and they are also required to follow the SIX-FOOT social distancing guideline.
  • Rules will be strictly enforced and violations will be subject to fines and/or revoking of pool privileges by the association.
  • Should the Baldwin County Health Department receive a complaint that the order is being violated, ADPH will verify the complaint which could lead to immediate closure of the pool area until ADPH has approved for reopening.

ALL;

The Baldwin County Health Department has received additional clarification from the State Health Office concerning water venues. Please disregard the email I sent yesterday and follow the guidelines presented in this email.
This amended version will allow the permit holders to determine the safest measures in order to operate their facility within the required parameters.

Requirements are as follows:

*Because pool(water venues) occupancy may vary based on the size of the pool(water venues) and pool(water venues) deck so will the amount of people allowed.

*The permit holders must make reasonable efforts to prohibit groups of 10 or more from gathering, and a six-foot distance must be maintained between persons from different households.

For example, a pool operator may mark areas on a pool deck to ensure that a six-foot distance is maintained between groups, may arrange pool deck furniture in a manner that complies with social distancing requirements,
or may allow use of the pool by reservation.

For further guidance, please refer to the Department's FAQs about Beaches, particularly #2, #3, and #4 --

The Certified Pool Operator, management company, home owners association, property manager or the like, should monitor their facilities and report inappropriate findings to the appropriate internal person(s) in charge, which then should ensure compliance is enforced.  Should the Baldwin County Health Department (BCHD) receive a complaint that the Order is not being followed, validity of the complaint will be determined and proper actions will be taken that could include closure of the water venue, whereas an Emergency Order (EHO) will be issued. Law Enforcement may assist the BCHD, as needed, with compliance issues.

If there are additional questions, as always, I am available.
